Winged Beans Stir-Fry
Ingredients
- 200 gram winged beans
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, minced
- 1/2 tablespoon oil
- 1 teaspoon oyster sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 tablespoon water
- 1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
Instructions
- Prep winged beans: Chop and discard both ends of each winged bean, then cut into 7-8 sections.
- Sauté aromatics: Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat. Once the pan is hot, add oil and sauté garlic and ginger for about 30 seconds or until fragrant.
- Add beans and seasonings: Add winged beans, oyster sauce, salt, and pepper. Sauté for 1 minute.
- Cook the beans: Add water and mix well. Cover the pan with a lid, and cook for a couple of minutes or until the beans are tender but still retain their crunchiness.
- Add wine and sesame oil: Add Shaoxing wine and stir for 30 seconds. Turn off the heat, then drizzle with sesame oil.
- Serve: Transfer the dish to a serving plate and serve it immediately with steamed white rice.
