Almond Tofu

  • Almond tofu
  • 1 packet (7 gram) agar-agar powder
  • 100 gram Chinese almond milk powder
  • 750 ml water
  • 75 gram sugar (optional, use only if the particular Chinese almond milk powder you are using contains no sugar)
  • Optional
  • 1 can fruit cocktail
  • fresh fruit (e.g. berries, stone fruits, mangoes, etc)
  • maple syrup


  • Almond tofu
    1. Whisk together agar-agar powder, Chinese almond milk powder, and water in a sauce pot. Turn heat on and bring to a boil, whisking frequently.
    2. Once it boils, cook for another 2 minutes. Turn heat off, and pour into bowls/mold(s)/baking dish.
    3. Chill in the fridge until set.
  • To serve
    1. Serve almond tofu with a can of fruit cocktail. Alternatively, serve with fresh fruits and maple syrup.
